minilogue is not receiving MIDI notes

A keyboard, sequencer or interface is sending notes, but the original minilogue does not respond.

Fast answer

In GLOBAL 4, set Enable Rx MIDI to ON, set MIDI Route to USB+MIDI when using DIN, and match the sending channel to the minilogue MIDI Ch.

Do this first

  1. Open GLOBAL EDIT and select GLOBAL 4.
  2. Set Enable Rx MIDI to ON.
  3. For a DIN source, set MIDI Route to USB+MIDI and connect the sender’s MIDI OUT to minilogue MIDI IN.
  4. Match the sender’s channel to the MIDI Ch value, then send one note.

Diagnose it

Is Enable Rx MIDI ON?

Yes: Check MIDI Route and the shared MIDI channel.

No: Set Enable Rx MIDI to ON before testing again.

Are you using DIN MIDI while MIDI Route is USB?

Yes: Change MIDI Route to USB+MIDI.

No: Confirm the sender uses the minilogue MIDI Ch.

Expected result

A note sent on the configured MIDI channel plays the minilogue.

Why this works

Korg documents Enable Rx MIDI, the shared transmit/receive channel and the USB+MIDI route as separate GLOBAL 4 settings.
