Fast answer

Use MIDI OUT, match the MIDI track’s channel to the receiving synth, and enable note transmission in Setup View. A connector configured as hardware THRU does not replace the main OUT for generated notes.

Try these checks

  1. Connect Circuit Tracks MIDI OUT to the synth’s MIDI IN and check its audio output separately.
  2. Press Shift + Save, select the MIDI track and match its channel using the top two pad rows.
  3. Make pad 26 bright to enable note transmission, press Play to exit Setup View and play the track.

Diagnose it

Is the cable using a hardware THRU connector?

Yes: Use MIDI OUT or configure the second connector as OUT.

No: Check the track channel and pad 26.

What should happen

The external synth receives notes from the selected MIDI track on its assigned channel.

Why this happens

Channel selection, note transmission and connector function each affect this route.
