Fast answer

Connect the clock source’s MIDI OUT to minilogue MIDI IN and set GLOBAL 4 → Clock Source to Auto (MIDI). The minilogue follows detected MIDI clock in that mode.

Do this first

  1. Connect the clock source’s MIDI OUT to the minilogue MIDI IN.
  2. Open GLOBAL EDIT → GLOBAL 4.
  3. Set Clock Source to Auto (MIDI).
  4. Start the source’s clock and confirm the minilogue is not being clocked through SYNC IN instead.

Diagnose it

Is Clock Source Auto (MIDI)?

Yes: Confirm the source is actually transmitting MIDI clock at its MIDI OUT.

No: Set Auto (MIDI) and retry.

Is a cable connected to SYNC IN?

Yes: The minilogue gives SYNC IN clock priority; verify that pulse source instead.

No: Recheck DIN cable direction and the sender’s clock output.

Expected result

The minilogue follows received MIDI timing clock when clock is detected at MIDI IN.

Why this works

Korg’s synchronization procedure specifies Auto (MIDI) for an external MIDI clock source and says SYNC IN takes priority when connected.

Still stuck?

Recheck the physical MIDI direction and the exact source device setting. If this behavior differs on your hardware, keep the model/revision and setup details for a correction report.
