Fast answer
Check Global Local. Set it to On for direct keyboard playing; Off disconnects the keyboard from the sound engine while leaving MIDI operation available.
Try these checks
- Use Function/Exit and the upper A key labelled Global Local to select Local control.
- Use the Value controls to select On for standalone keyboard playing.
- Play a key; if still silent, check the audio output and volume. For sequencer echo setups, keep only one note path.

Is Global Local Off?
Yes: Set On unless the sequencer is returning those notes.
No: Check the audio path and the current patch.
What should happen
The keyboard plays the internal sound engine directly with Local On.
Why this happens
Local Off separates the keyboard and engine for an externally routed setup.
