Fast answer

Choose Auto (MIDI) for DIN clock or Auto (USB) for USB clock in GLOBAL 4. Check SYNC IN first: a cable there overrides the MIDI clock selection.

Try these checks

  1. Disconnect SYNC IN while isolating a MIDI clock problem.
  2. In GLOBAL 4, choose the Auto mode for the connector carrying your clock.
  3. Enable En Rx Transport if you also want Start and Stop from the master, then start the master’s clock output.

Diagnose it

Is a cable connected to SYNC IN?

Yes: Remove it for the MIDI-only check.

No: Check the selected Auto port and the master’s clock output.

What should happen

The sequencer follows the selected incoming clock, with remote transport when enabled.

Why this happens

Clock selection and transport reception are separate controls; SYNC IN has priority.

If it still doesn’t work

Check the connections and settings described above. If your device behaves differently, email us with its model, firmware version and the steps you tried.
