Fast answer
Check MIDI Route in GLOBAL 4. The USB setting excludes the DIN connectors; choose USB+MIDI and match MIDI Ch to the transmitting instrument.
Try these checks
- Connect the sender’s MIDI OUT to monologue MIDI IN.
- Set GLOBAL 4 MIDI Route to USB+MIDI.
- Match MIDI Ch to the sender and play a single note with a working audio output.
Diagnose it
Is MIDI Route set to USB?
Yes: Change it to USB+MIDI.
No: Check channel matching and the cable direction.
What should happen
Notes sent on the matching channel reach the monologue through MIDI IN.
Why this happens
The routing setting can intentionally exclude DIN even though USB MIDI works.
If it still doesn’t work
