Set the original microKORG clock source to External for a dedicated MIDI clock source, or Auto when you want it to follow received clock and otherwise use its internal clock. Confirm the master actually sends MIDI clock.
Do this first
- Open the original microKORG global clock setting.
- Choose External for a dedicated external MIDI clock, or Auto for automatic fallback.
- Connect the master MIDI OUT to the microKORG MIDI IN.
- Start the master and test the arpeggiator.
Diagnose it
Is clock set to External or Auto?
Yes: Check that the sender is transmitting MIDI clock and that the cable direction is correct.
No: Choose the intended external-clock mode and retest.
Is there incoming clock at MIDI IN?
Yes: Check the arpeggiator configuration separately.
No: Enable clock transmission on the master device.
Expected result
The arpeggiator follows the received MIDI clock in External mode, or in Auto when clock is present.
