Set global MIDI Clock Src to Auto rather than Internal, then confirm that the master is transmitting MIDI clock to MIDI IN. This setting concerns MIDI clock, not the analogue SYNC pulse rate.
Try these checks
- For this check, use the master’s MIDI OUT connected to volca MIDI IN.
- Hold FUNC while powering on and make step 6 lit for Auto.
- Press REC to save, restart and send clock from the master; run the sequence and compare tempos.
Diagnose it
Is step 6 unlit in global settings?
Yes: Select Auto and save with REC.
No: Check that clock is enabled on the master’s actual MIDI output.
What should happen
The sequencer can follow incoming MIDI clock rather than being forced to Internal.
Why this happens
Global parameter 6 selects Auto or Internal for MIDI clock.
If it still doesn’t work
