Check GLB-12 [MIDI Program Change] → Receive is ON, then check the sending MIDI channel against GLB-8 → Global Channel. If the wrong program appears, inspect the configurable GLB-14 program number map.
Do this first
- In GLB-12 [MIDI Program Change], set Receive to ON if you want external patch changes.
- With Omni OFF, send Program Change on the GLB-8 Global Channel.
- If it changes to a different patch, inspect GLB-14 [Prog No. Select Map] rather than assuming a fixed program-number mapping.
Diagnose it
Is GLB-12 Receive ON?
Yes: Check the MIDI channel and GLB-14 program map.
No: Enable Receive, then resend the Program Change.
Expected result
The mapped Prophecy program changes when a valid Program Change arrives.
Why this works
Korg provides separate Program Change receive control and an editable external-to-internal program map.
Still stuck?
Recheck the physical MIDI direction and the exact source device setting. If this behavior differs on your hardware, keep the model/revision and setup details for a correction report.
