Routing, channel and Local Control

The manual documents MIDI Route and matching MIDI channels for USB and DIN MIDI operation. Check the selected route before treating a cable or controller as faulty.

Korg documents Local SW OFF as the mitigation for a DAW MIDI echo loop: keyboard notes are routed through the external sequencer rather than directly and again when echoed back.

Clock and message filters

Clock Source Internal sends timing clock; Auto (MIDI) follows received timing clock and otherwise operates on its internal clock. Configure the connected master and follower deliberately before starting playback.

The MIDI filters control whether Program Change, Control Change and Pitch Bend are transmitted or received. Korg’s 2.10 release notes add joystick and CV IN CCs, so those controls must be version-checked.
